The Delaware
Valley Purchasing Group presently has over 300 member food
establishments. We are a non-profit purchasing group that
serves independently owned, credit worthy, food service establishments.
We were
formed in 1984 to improve the independent's buying power and
to provide us with the ability to compete with the
purchasing
power of the chain operations. Whether you are a fine dining, white
table cloth establishment, diner or a pizza
and sandwich shop, the Delaware
Valley Purchasing Group
can strengthen the profit side of your business.
Current
Mission
The Primary Goal of
DVPG is to make its members' businesses more competitive
through cooperative
buying
and incentive programs offered by manufacturers and
distributors. Our collective bargaining
power
as buyers results in
lower pricing of goods
and services used
daily in the restaurant industry.
The DVPG negotiates wholesale
prices of food, beverage, services, and supplies,
necessary for the restaurant operations in order to
improve the profitability of its members. The DVPG aims to
give member restaurants the ability to compete with the
purchasing power of Regional and National
Chain operations through the use of lower
net
pricing,
discounts and rebates provided by its Manufacturers, Recommended
Purveyors and Associate Vendors. Through
“STRENGTH IN NUMBERS” , the DVPG is able to negotiate
incentive programs on behalf of all its members in order to provide a
secure and uniform pricing structure, regardless of restaurant
size.
The level of success of a member is
directly related to its
respective level of participation in programs offered to
DVPG membership.
DVPG’s Board of Directors is constantly working to improve the bottom line of its
members' establishments.
